The performance S Robertom (With Roberta) by author and performer Roberta Milevoj comes to the Mediterranean Dance Center as part of the first performance block of the 2026 cycle Savičenta pleše. The guest performance is realized in production with INK Pula and within the project Kazališna zima u Istri (Theatre Winter in Istria).

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
“S Robertom” is a dance solo in which the exploration of the past forms the foundation for projecting and creating a performative work and choreographic vocabulary in the present. Through an exploration of the depth of her own emotional and mental space, the author places her personal history and experience in relation to stage performance, finding inspiration both in the continuity of her engagement with dance and in small, everyday “footnotes” from private life.
Autoreferentiality becomes the conceptual backbone of the work, and the performance itself is a confrontation with Roberta within and beyond dance, as well as a journey through two decades of the author’s professional work on the contemporary dance scene.

I am Roberta.
This is my fourth performance in which I dance alone.
Dance no longer intertwines with me as it once did.
The relationship is now calmer, more distant, yet when it happens, it always recognizes old habits.
And from the beginning, it hints at new excitement.
