Residency - Linda Tarnovski & Dora Pocedić: COLLAGING - workshop 25.7.2026.

The Mediterranean Dance Center will host Dora Pocedić and Linda Tarnovski, authors and performers working within the artistic organisation Co-mment. During their residency in San Vincenti, they will continue developing their new artistic research project Nothing is as it seems. This research forms part of a longer-term creative process leading towards a new work, and the artists will share part of that process with the local community through the workshop Collaging.

FRAGMENTS FROM THE PROCESS

Linda, 6 December 2025
In this performance, our points of entry are diverse. We enter different contexts, collage, fake and layer things, all in the hope that nothing is expected.

Dora, 23 February 2026
The new performance is coming together, but somehow never quite comes together.

Linda, 27 February 2026
In this performance, we enter only into potentials, never into fully completed situations.

Dora, 4 March 2026
The performance is on the edge. On the edge of form, on the edge of a task, on the edge of watching, on the edge of time. This performance is unstable. This research is unstable.

Dora, 16 June 2026
This performance empties, slips away, shifts and changes. It tries to find itself, but also to escape itself.

Linda, 16 June 2026
This performance is a choreographic striptease.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP "Collaging"

The workshop is based on the principle of collaging. Inspired by the visual art technique of collage, the artists build a dance vocabulary in which the body and space become a canvas.
Using principles of collage-making, they create a performative environment that explores the boundaries between movement, space and rhythm. Through improvisational tasks, participants investigate movement qualities and physical tools that encourage individual creativity. Particular attention is given to awareness of the body in personal and shared space, while working in pairs and groups introduces the basic mechanisms of collaging.
The specificity of this approach lies in fragmented and precise movement, generating a distinctive bodily rhythm. The workshop concludes with individual creative tasks, allowing participants to question and apply the acquired tools and knowledge in their own way.
The artists invite participants to explore their own movement and open up space for new dance creativity.
