ABOUT THE PROJECT
BOOP! is a contemporary dance duet that merges set choreography with structured improvisation, developing a clear and precise movement language that shifts between fluidity and physical intensity. The work explores a form of feminine strength that is direct, physical and
emotionally present. Drawing from the iconography of Betty Boop, the artists reclaim gestures associated with playful femininity and transform them into a vocabulary of rhythm, presence and power. Rather than following a narrative structure, the piece creates an open
experience shaped by contrast, repetition and transformation. Rhythm, sound and visual clarity define its dynamics and perception.
WORKSHOP
The workshop emerges from the creative process behind BOOP! and is conceived as an open entry point into the artists’ way of working — through body, rhythm and connection. Through guided improvisation and creative exercises, participants explore how simple gestures develop into movement, how rhythm shapes the body, and how individual expression evolves within a group dynamic. The focus is on experience, presence and play — with no prior dance experience required. The workshop is open to everyone: dancers, movement enthusiasts and anyone
curious about exploring movement in an accessible and direct way.
