Look Back, Step Forward - A gathering to mark 15 years of the Mediterranean Dance Center

On Sunday, July 20 at 7 PM, the Mediterranean Dance Center opens its doors for a special evening. Through the fusion of Andi Bančić’s photography and Melita Lovričević’s soundscapes, the hall transforms into a space of remembrance, encounters, and the inevitable movement forward.

 

Fifteen years of work, arrivals and departures, performances, residencies, and shared moments – all gathered into a single evening that is not an ending, but a sign that we have already stepped into what comes next.

We invite you to an exhibition dedicated to the Mediterranean Dance Center and the artists who have shaped it over the years. At the heart of the exhibition are photographs by Andi Bančić, a long-time witness and collaborator whose lens has captured the everyday life, rehearsals, and creative processes within MPC’s studio.

Alongside the visual records, the space will be enriched with soundscapes – traces of presence from those who, over the years, have called it their own.
