Austrian company CieLAROQUE, led by choreographer Helene Weinzierl, brings IT’S ALL ABOUT to the Mediterranean Dance Center, a performance that observes life through humour, vulnerability, and togetherness. During May, the company was in residence at MPC developing the project BODYCHAPTERS, and now presents a performance that, through dance, opens a space for encounter, transformation, and a different perspective on everyday life.

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
What is life about? Everything and nothing. In this “critically cheerful” performance, three performers circle around themselves and yet still manage to meet one another. Through dance, they move across the full keyboard of life: connection, dreams, love, trust, protection, care, struggle, and death, always with humour and lightness. Transformation unfolds continuously: from abstract to concrete, from form to content, from emptiness to fullness. “In It’s All About, choreographer Helene Weinzierl shows that life can be celebrated even in these times. ABOUT THE CHOREOGRAPHER
Helene Weinzierl is an Austrian choreographer born in Salzburg and educated in dance in Paris, Munich, and Salzburg. After many years as a performer, she founded CieLAROQUE in 1995, today considered one of the most internationally present companies within the Austrian dance scene. Alongside her work with the company, Helene Weinzierl founded the organisation tanzimpulse as well as the international festivals PERFORMdANCE and HERBST.tanz.
