BORNA BABIĆ: Paperbridge Workshop 29.6.-3.7.2026.

At the Mediterranean Dance Center, choreographer, performer, and educator Borna Babić leads the Paperbridge Workshop. The workshop is based on the exploration of physical theatre and the relationship between intention, emotion, and movement through tools of contemporary dance, partnering, and physical performance.

The workshop is intended for professional dancers, performing arts students, performers, and anyone interested in physical theatre and authorial work through body and movement.

29 June – 3 July 2026 / every day 10:00 – 13:00
Mediterranean Dance Center, Svetvinčenat

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The Paper Bridge workshop is based on the exploration of physical theatre and the relationship between intention, emotion, and movement. Through various physical tasks and games, participants will be encouraged to further investigate their own individuality.

In order to expand our performativity and creativity, we will work through two approaches that are equally important within a creative process – physicality that evokes intention and emotion, and the ways thoughts and feelings can be transmitted through the body and movement. For this purpose, we will explore different tools and working methods.

The focus of the workshop will be on exploring different physical qualities and textures of movement and their application within partnering work. Through an open and playful environment, we will question our movement habits and develop sensitivity for detail and authenticity in physical expression.
