D. Dance Alliance: Partner Meeting in Svetvinčenat

From January 12 to 15, 2025, the first working meeting of the year for the D. Dance Alliance project took place in Svetvinčenat, bringing together eight organisations from Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, the project focuses on contemporary dance and its intersections with other fields – from theatre and performance to new technologies, architecture, and tourism. It centres around a collaborative co-production developed in cooperation with local communities in five cities across the Danube region: Trbovlje, Velenje, Svetvinčenat, Belgrade, and Sarajevo.

During the successful meeting, the first production steps were agreed upon, along with the schedule and locations of project activities involving artists and local communities. The partners also had the chance to explore Svetvinčenat, stroll its off-season streets, enjoy local cuisine, and experience the unique atmosphere of a place where calm, history, and contemporary dance meet.
