Artists in Residence in San Vincenti 2025

The Mediterranean Dance Center (MPC) in Svetvinčenat has long been established as a place of artistic research and creation, offering dancers and authors space, time, and working conditions for the development of new works. In a peaceful environment that fosters focus, MPC welcomes artists in various stages of their process and from different parts of the world.

The 2025 residency program brings a range of approaches and poetics – from physical theatre to interdisciplinary forms. Some of this year’s residencies were selected through an open call launched in December 2024, others are being developed through partner collaborations, while some are the result of direct invitations.

In 2025, MPC will host the following artists and projects:

  • Petra Najman & Ivan Svaguša – Corvus Obscura, in collaboration with Room 100 collective, HR
  • Igor x Moreno – Petras (working title), IT
  • Ognjen Vučinić – Recyclism (working title), part of the D. Dance Alliance project, HR
  • Alina Belyagina – Getting our wonder smashed, DE/PL
  • Land Before Time – Yaltari, SE
  • Luna and Nika Lilek – I’ll Dream Awake, HR
  • Danka Sekulović – It’s OK to Hypnotize a Chicken, but Rabbits Get Traumatized, residency within the Circus Network program, HR
  • Atom Theatre – Castles in the Sky, BG
  • Jan Rozman – Psychoreography, SI
  • Matija Ferlin & Ame Henderson – Show Gone, HR/CA

All of these artists will develop their work throughout 2025 in Savičenta. Depending on the stage of their process, some will open their work to the public through showings, others through workshops, conversations, or performances.

Stay tuned for announcements of dates and public activities.
